Small Business Outreach
The City of Charlotte and the Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization voted to rescind their support of the public-private partnership, or P3, funding ion May 11 and May 20, 2026, respectively. The P3 funding is the only financially viable delivery method for the project. As a result, the N.C. Department of Transportation has stopped all work on the project and is in the process of amending its State Transportation Improvement Program, or STIP, to remove the project.
