The N.C. Department of Transportation's On-the-Job Training Program is directed toward minorities, women and disadvantaged individuals who have been historically underrepresented in highway construction-skilled professions.
The program – part of and funded through the Federal Highway Administration – provides one-on-one workplace training that is focused on the skills, knowledge and competencies an employee needs for a specific job.
