Organ donation
Anyone, regardless of their health history, can add their name to the organ, eye, and tissue donor registry. Individuals, especially teenagers, are highly encouraged to discuss organ donation with their family before going to a driver license office. Common questions and answers, as well as other information, are available at DonateLifeNC.org.
Voter registration
Eligible individuals can register to vote or change their registration. Requirements and additional information are available on the North Carolina State Board of Elections website.
Selective Service registration
Most men who are U.S. and non-U.S. citizens between 18 to 25 years old are required by law to register. Exemptions and additional information are available on the Selective Service System website.
Please note: NCDMV cannot issue licenses or IDs to individuals not registered, as required by law, with the Selective Service System.
